A New Chapter
Hellooooooo bloggers!
So I'm back with a big update. I know I said in my last post that I had some big news about a phone call I was supposed to get. Well it turns out I had to wait the entire weekend including Monday because of the holiday to find out if they accepted me for a position at Dell.
Well...I GOT THE JOB! I'm going to be starting a new job at Dell Canada as a Technical Support Representative on June 5th and I will officially leave my current job as a Shift Supervisor at Blockbuster. It was so nerve-wracking because the entire process was quite gruelling!
First I had to get my resume to be looked at, and if I had the neccessary qualifications, I was allowed to write a test. It was multiple choice about a lot of computer theory and I passed that. So then I was granted an interview, and there were more difficult questions about my knowledge of computers. On top of that, there were also a lot of loaded questions on customer service. So the interview went well, and I had to do a final 2 hour assessement exam the following week! I'm so happy it's all over and I passed all the phases! It would've sucked if I didn't get it. The job will be Full-Time and it's a permanent position.
Now what does this mean for me? Well, I was hanging on the hope that I would get this job because it would finally determine whether I could really move out or not. Now I definately will, and I'm happy to announce that I will be moving in with my best friend Liana come September! :) We've already gone apartment hunting and there are some nice places out there!
This is a very exciting time for me and I'm so happy that I'm finally starting a new chapter in my life. :)
In other news...
I saw Poseidon and The Da Vinci Code last night. It's a little late for the movie post I promised (only because I was waiting for all the movie studios to release their summer movie previews) but I'll put up some pics from them later. Poseidon was....meh....Da Vinci Code was good despite the bad reviews but the book is SO much better. If you get a chance to read the book before the movie. Do it. You won't enjoy the book after you see the movie.

Last week, Liana and I went to see a one-man play call Bigger Than Jesus and it was absolutely hilarious. It's basically a re-telling of the story of Christ done in a satirical manner. The best part was the re-enactment of the Last Supper told through plastic dolls and action figures. Homer Simpson was Judas, and even Luke Skywalker and Darth Vadar make an appearance (as action figures). After the show, we got to meet Rick Miller who was the actor from the play, and he was really cute and really nice in person.
Anyways, that's all for now! Glad I got that out of my system. I've been meaning to do separate posts for all those updates but I figure it'll just be easy to make one big update.
Peace out for now!

Congrats on the new job and decision to move out! This will be great for you!
oh, and guess what... Korea gets X-men 3 a FULL DAY ahead of North America. That's right, ON TOP of the time difference. So I'll be seeing it tomorrow, even though I'm kind of scared as it's getting seriously mixed reviews.

Me <-- Jealous you get to see X3 a day early! X3 will rock (I hope!) If not... then damn you Brett Ratner for ruining a great franchise!

Korea and IMDB.com are officially on notice as X-men 3 was NOT a day early here... rather, it's gonna be a few weeks LATE. Bastards!

Hey! Congrats on your full time job. I wish you all the best with your new found employment and with your search for a residence.
I was planning on seing Poseidon just because the trailer looked so dumb. I've completely avoided all things daVinci because everyone is so obsessed with it right now.
Instead, I ended up going to X3 which was pretty good. I wouldn't say it was as good as the first two but it definitely was pretty interesting.
Have a good one!

Hey Stephen!
Thanks :) I'm really excited for the new job. I only have one more week at Blockbuster!
Da Vinci code was pretty good, but you should read the book. I actually read Da Vinci before it became MASSIVELY popular, so I didn't know what to expect when I read it for the first time.
X3 was pretty awesome. I agree, not as good as the first two (X2 is still my favourite) but the action scenes in the third are insane. I still enjoyed it a lot.
