The Music Post I

Album I am currently listening to:

THE CARDIGANS / Super Extra Karaoke

The album isn't bad. There's only a few songs I actually like on the album. Maybe I'll give it a few more listens and hopefully some of the other songs will grow on me.

Favourite Tracks: 05. I Need Some Fine Wine and You / 07. Little Black Cloud / 09. Holy Love

Other albums I recently got:

FRANZ FERDINAND / You Could Have It So Much Better

It's amazing. I wasn't sure how they were going to pull it off with their first album being so fantastic, but they did it. It's brilliant.

Favourite Tracks: 01. The Fallen / 02. Do You Want To / 04. Walk Away / 11. You Could Have It So Much Better

MADONNA / Confessions On a Dance Floor

I'm not a huge Madonna fan, but ever since I heard the single 'Hung Up', I had a hunch the album was going to be pretty good. I was right! It's fun, poppy, and there's a lot of catchy tunes on here. I keep getting the urge to jump on the coffee table and dance everytime I listen to this album. Makes me wanna go clubbin'.

Favourite Tracks: 01. Hung Up / 02. Get Together / 03. Sorry / 06. Let It Will Be

VHS OR BETA / Night On Fire

What a fantastic album! It's got some amazing beats and the tunes are very catchy. If you're a guitar enthusiast, you'll appreciate some of the guitar solos on this album. Some tracks are completely instrumental so you'll hear some sick guitar riffs (There's a 9 min instrumental track!). You can argue that this is a dance album or a rock album. Think Franz or The Bravery. They do an amazing job mixing both.

Favourite Tracks: 01. Night On Fire / 02. Nightwaves / 06. Forever / 07. Alive

Favourite album so far:

THE DANDY WARHOLS / Thirteen Tales from Urban Bohemia

The next album on my wishlist:

METRIC / Live It Out

    I just re-discovered your non-livejournal journal.

Thanks for the musical suggestions, I'm currently diffing the VHS or Beta album.

Hope the times are finding you well.

Hey Scott! Good to hear from you again! I'm glad you like some of my musical suggestions. Although the Madonna suggestion was mostly for Ash, lol! And when are gonna make your next post? I'm itching to see some of that writing talent of yours.

I was like that for the longest time on LJ. I didn't post anything because I didn't know what people wanted me to post. And I didn't think there was anything worth posting about me.

So I decided to start fresh. I switched blog services completely. And I haven't stopped posting since. I post quite regularly now. And it's not "today, i did blahblahblah, and i went to blahblahblah" Although some of my posts are like that but it's not like an online diary or anything. It's just about anything. I even post video clips. Things I've seen in the news, fun stuff, pictures, whatever catches my eye.

So anyways, I hope some of those suggestions inspired you in some way, lol Thanks for checking out my new blog. Another reason why I left LJ is to filter out the people who care enough to follow me over to Blogger from the people who read my LJ blog because I just happened to be on their Friend's list. I'm glad you're part of the former group of ppl. :)

for the record: "diffing" should've been "digging".

I guess that's to be expected when I just got in from two parties and a good dozen drinks in the bag.

but yeah, I'm just full of excuses. I think my blog will definitely be up in full swing when I go overseas to teach English. I'm thinking I'm gonna try to go to Japan.

That's awesome. I have a friend who is teaching in Japan right now and he LOVES it. You should *really* do it. I heard it's quite an amazing experience.
